Big shout out to our 1st Stars, Stripes, and Service sponsor! Thanks, Creative Outdoor Services, for supporting our upcoming family event - we appreciate the partnership and help in creating a fun, educational evening! We hope to see everyone here at TGS on Nov 9 from 5:30-7pm!

Thank you to everyone in our school system who helped support our recent Jay's Hope Hats4Hope day. Together we raised funds to assist local families battling childhood cancer while also raising awareness about the fight. The mission of Jay’s Hope is “to improve the quality-of-life of children with cancer and their families in Georgia by extending HOPE through social, emotional, spiritual, educational and financial support.” HES, KBS, TGS, and MCMS are honored to have participated in this campaign, and this morning presented a check to Jay’s Hope for over $2300, the largest amount ever from Monroe County. And, with a sweet full circle moment, the Jay's Hope representative receiving the check was our very own Kylie Seitz Stone. Kylie attended TGS and graduated from Mary Persons, was a Jay's Hope kid herself, and is a cancer survivor. We are proud of Kylie and happy to continue this tradition of giving to support a cause precious to her and other MCS students.

This fundraiser is for certificates which can each be redeemed for one dozen doughnuts from any Krispy Kreme location. These make GREAT holiday gifts and stocking stuffers and will be back before Thanksgiving! Order forms must be returned this week. Thank you for supporting PTO!

Please mark your calendars for our annual Title 1 meeting which will be Thurs, Sept 24, at 8am, 4pm, or 5pm in the TGS Data Room. This is a chance for you to hear more about the Title 1 funds we receive and how these funds are used in our school. Hope to see you there!

TGS will be joining with HES, KBS, and MCMS in Hats4Hope this Friday, September 25. We HOPE that you will support this effort to give HOPE to children in our community as they battle cancer. Give $1, wear a hat to school, & give HOPE to so many of our local kids!

On Friday, September 18, Jeremiah's will be selling their amazing Italian Ice at school during lunch! The cost is $5/ cup, and a portion of the proceeds will go back to TGS! Thanks for supporting this fun and yummy school fundraiser!
