TGS parents, if you haven't registered for the fall parties on Friday, you are still absolutely welcome to attend. However, please keep in mind that you will be required to stand in line that day and have your ID scanned. The lines will likely be long so please plan accordingly, allowing enough time before the start time of your child's party. Stickers will be pre-printed for all pre-registered guests, and a current volunteer badge is sufficient to bypass the process. We look forward to a fun Friday!

We hope everyone is planning to join us for a night of glowing fun as we explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in exciting, hands-on ways! Students and families will experiment with light, motion, and glowing activities that show how things move, change, and flow. From glowing slime to light-up circuits, this event will spark curiosity and creativity while making STEM learning shine! You don't want to miss this - Monday from 5:30-7pm!

Another week of OPTIONAL dress up days is upon us! Red Ribbon Week is an annual drug prevention campaign that encourages communities to pledge to live drug-free and take a stand for healthy lifestyles. Join us in the theme days this year - "Life Is A Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free."

A highlight of the 5th grade DC trip every year is visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery’s most iconic memorial. This year, chosen from a host of written essays, Will Bunt (TGS), Brinley Calloway (HES), Huntlann Hancock (KBS), and Audra McLaughlin (TGS) had the honor of participating in the wreath presentation, and an honor it truly was for all the 5th graders to witness.

A big TGS Bear shout out to the Umbaugh family and Creative Outdoor Services for an incredible Fuel Up Friday breakfast today! Johnny V's biscuits, fruit, and juice was a treat that staff talked about all day! What a perfect way to fuel the last Friday before fall break! TYSM!

TGS will be joining with HES, KBS, and MCMS in Hats4Hope this Friday. We HOPE that you will support this effort to give HOPE to children in our community as they battle cancer. Give $1, wear a hat to school, & give HOPE to our local kids!

TGS photo day is TOMORROW, September 24, for all students and staff. Fall pictures go in the yearbook, and there will only be make ups for students who are absent or new. Please plan accordingly, and practice your winningest smile! We can't wait to see those grins!
