Last month, the three Monroe County elementary schools and the middle school all participated in a Pink Out/ Hat Day to raise awareness and support for United in Pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This effort was a great success, bringing in over $950 which the principals of the four schools presented today to Laura Paxton, Co-Founder and Executive Director, and Devin Ivey, Associate Director, from the organization. United in Pink’s mission is to be “a provider of emotional, social, and financial support for individuals and their families” affected by breast cancer, and we are honored to help them in this effort. Thank you to everyone who brought a dollar, wore a hat, or pinked out and partnered with us in this endeavor! We look forward to setting and reaching a goal of over $1000 next year!
