This Friday, September 22, we are participating in a fundraiser to support a local organization, Jay's Hope, whose mission it is “To improve the quality-of-life of children with cancer and their families in Georgia by extending HOPE through social, emotional, spiritual, educational and financial support.” We ask that anyone wishing to support this effort please send your child to school on Friday wearing a hat and send $1 for Jay's Hope.
Why We Wear Hats
Each day in America, 47 children are diagnosed with cancer - that's enough to fill 2 classrooms. Cancer impacts all aspects of a child and his or her family's life as they cope with the life-threatening illness. In such challenging times, support from the community can make all the difference.
Hats 4 HOPE signifies one of the struggles children undergoing cancer treatments can face - hair loss. Together, we can let children know they are not alone in their fight against cancer. Hats 4 HOPE is a simple way for our students to make a difference - children helping children.
Join us and give to children in our community as they battle cancer. Give $1, wear a hat to school, & give HOPE!
